Social Climber Boardgame

  The objective of this project was to design a board game that fosters family bonding, entertain and create meaningful interactions and lasting memories for families.

  It was important to a theme that is both universally appealing and sparks imagination but not too childish or fantastical. It was important for the client that the boardgame did not come off solely as a children's game as they wanted it to appeal to adults with older children and adolescents too.
  The game fosters meaningful interaction between families as they progress through many "life situations" in the game. Adults can draw from their life experiences to share stories related to the prompts while children are encouraged to think about how they would handle the situation presented in the prompt. This allows them to express their thoughts and ideas, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.

 With a life simulation concept, the game is as mature as the players make it. Its design inherently supports flexibility, allowing it to be equally suitable for children and adults.
